Southeast of Tichnor from the intersection of Hwy 44 and Tichnor Blacktop Rd proceed south on Tichnor Blacktop Rd. 4.9 miles to intersection with Conner Levee Rd. Turn right (west) proceed 1.1 mile to T intersection with Murl Long Rd. The cemetery cross can be seen across a field to the SW. Turn right (north) and then left (west) onto Pine Tree Ln. Proceed towards large farm buildings directly ahead. Just before the farm, look on the left for an unimproved road along side farm fields. Follow the route to the cemetery cross. A four wheel drive vehicle is recommended after any recent rains.

The Massey Cemetery is located on private property but is accessible without special permission. The Cemetery is named for Maj Madison Massey of the Confederate Army on whose land it was located and contains his grave.

I surveyed this cemetery on Oct 17, 2006. All visible and legible tombstones are listed. Several graves do not have tombstones.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
