Alvarez Cemetery is located in Saraland, Mobile County, Alabama. Directions from Industrial Parkway (SA 158). Turn left onto Highway 43 traveling North. Turn left onto Shelton Beach Road (SA 213) traveling south. Turn Right onto Norton Abenue. At the end of Norton Avenue is a small dirt road on the left that has no street sign. Travel 1/10 of a mile into the property. Alvarez cemetery is to the right. (Bailey Cemetery is on the left.)

This listing is complete as of Apr 11, 2001, when I surveyed the cemetery and recorded these tombstones. At least two markers are broken beyond recognition of any letters. There are 12 marked graves with broken headstones. There is one concrete slab in this area that has nothing marked on it. This little cemetery is approximately 150 years old. It is obviously not a perpetual care site and is not maintained. An asterisk * means there was not stone or marker.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
