Moore Cemetery Records
Fort Payne, DeKalb County, Alabama

Contributed by Johnny L. Williams, Mar 13, 2006 [johnnylwilliams@yahoo.com]. Total records = 21.

To reach the cemetery from Fort Payne, drive about 5 miles SE on Hwy 35, then left onto Old Fort Payne Branch Road. You will see the cemetery off on your left.

I could find no history for this one. It is connected with the Moore School somehow, but the school was over a mile east of the cemetery.

This cemetery was surveyed by Ralph H. and Louise Allred on Jun 12, 1965. I have transcribed it for the internet with their permisson.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
