Cemetery History

Dunblane Cemetery, located about a half-mile north of town, was opened in 1914. The cemetery is also the location of the Dunblane School Massacre Memorial, which took place on 13 March 1996. The memorial was erected on 14 March 1998, and contains the remains of the schoolteacher and twelve of the 16 slain children.
