DNA analysis and historical evidence were used to positively identify the remains as belonging to Pfc. Lawrence N. Harris, Cpl. Judge C. Hellums, and Pvt. Donald D. Owens. Owens' name is permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at Lorraine American Cemetery.
