Saint Mary the Virgin Churchyard
Bampton, Oxfordshire, England
Saint Mary the Virgin Churchyard is located on Church View, Bampton,
Oxfordshire. Both the B4449 and A4095 run through the village. The
church is easily visible when in the village.
The churchyard is allowed to heavily overgrow during the summer,
to encourage wildlife. This makes it difficult to find and read
the gravestones. The churchyard was closed for burials in 1898,
with a new cemetery being consecrated in 1899.
This is not a complete listing of burials in this cemetery! The
