Trinity Church Cemetery
Saint Gilles, Lotbiniere County, Quebec

Contributed by Leslie Nutbrown, Jul 17, 2006, last edited Nov 25, 2006 . Total records = 20.

From Leeds, Megantic County, take Route 269 North. Continue past Parkhurst and St. Sylvester. You will eventually come to a Y in the road where the Gosford Road (Route 218) meets the Craig Road (Route 269). The cemetery access is very close to this junction but it cannot be seen from the road.

There was a sign at one time but it has disappeared. The entrance to the cemetery is on the East side of Route 269 right at the junction and it appears you are driving into a private driveway. Ask locally for help in finding the cemetery. Drive past the house and you sill see an opening in the woods. It is very narrow and the large tree branches may scratch vehicles. The cemetery is about 500 feet at the end of this trail.

There are only a few stones and we saw evidence that someone or group has cut some brush and piled it and did a little mowing. I don't have any information on Trinity Church or where it was located.

Susan Nutbrown and I walked and read this cemetery on Jul 16, 2006.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
