White Brick Cemetery is located on Highway #53, Ancaster, just east of Fiddlers Green Road. Ancaster Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada

The present White Brick Church located on Highway #53, Ancaster, was built on land donated by John Rymal (1819 - 1859). It was dedicated on 11 October 1857. In 1884 the union of all the Methodist churches saw the closing of the church except for the Sunday School and quarterly meetings until 1920. Since then the church opens its doors each June celebrating an anniversary service, which has been called the "White Brick Service".

The White Brick Cemetery is no longer selling interment rights, it hasn't been for many years actually. There are still some burials to come but the rights were part of plots sold previously. I am not sure who has ownership of the church and cemetery.

I read this cemetery 9 Sep 2001 and updated on 26 May 2002. This is now a complete record of the readable monument inscriptions. I have confirmed some illegible dates from my own family research.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
