The cemetery is located on the east side of Field Road, between Powerline Road and Jerseyville Road.

Jerseyville Cemetery was established in 1818 and was originally known as the Jerseyville Methodist Cemetery.

I walked this cemetery in the Autumn of 2002 recording all of the existing monuments. I rechecked some of the stones on 10 Jun 2003 and updated if there were any new inscriptions added to the stones as well.
