Dundas Old Union Cemetery
Ancaster Twp, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada

Osler Park, Ancaster Street
Dundas, Ontario

Contributed by Gloria Pare Jan 22, 2002 [gloriapare@sympatico.ca]. Total records = 198.

Dundas Old Union Cenetery was generally closed to burial in 1864, although there were still a few after, and went into complete disrepair.

In 1921 the cemetery was cleaned up and the few remaining monuments were mounted in a cairn that is still there today.

I read these monuments on 26 January 2001 and this is a record of those stones.

Entries followed by "*" were extracted from the Hamilton Branch OGS research notes on the Dundas Old Union Cemetery, not from the monument inscriptions. The entries also followed by a "?" indicate that no proof of burial has been found.

    cemetery records

A free online library of cemetery records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
