Round Plains Cemetery
Windham Twp, Norfolk County, Ontario

Lot 1, Concession 7, Windham Township, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada.

Contributed by Murray E. Fair, May 06, 2006, last edited May 09, 2006 [murrayfair@rogers.com]. Total records = 105.

To reach the cemetery, travel south on Highway 24. Watch for the road sign indicating Norfolk County. Continue on to Windham Township Concession Road # 7, turn right and the cemetery is a short distance along on the south side.

This cemetery is inactive. The existing tombstones have all been moved and placed in a semi-circle, set in a concrete foundation, in the centre of the cemetery. Unfortunately, a few stones that have been set in the concrete foundation are set in such a manner that some of the information is obscured and cannot be read. The cemetery is well maintained by Norfolk County, and in good condition.

I walked this cemetery on Apr 18, 2006, read and recorded the inscription on each tombstone that I was able to read. A few stones are unreadable.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
