To reach this cemetery, begin from the intersection of Hwy 53 and Hwy 24, west of Brantford, travel south on Hwy 24, through Brant County. Continue into Norfolk County, several kilometres. Watch for road sign on the east side of Hwy 24 indicating, Concession 6 road. Continue on and approximately 100 metres before reaching Concession 7 road, watch for property number 3546. You will need to make a left turn into what appears as a driveway. There is a residence on this driveway to the left, but continue on straight ahead a short distance to the Sovereign Cemetery. It is at the end of the driveway.

This is an old inactive cemetery. It is maintained by the County of Norfolk. It was rather disappointing that there are several old slab type stones that I was unable to read due to deterioration as well as some evidence of vandalism causing broken stones.

I walked this cemetery in September, 2006, reading and recording each tombstone or grave marker that could be read.
