Bloomsburg Baptist Cemetery
Townsend Twp, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada

Lot 4, Concession 11, Townsend Township, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada

Contributed by Murray E Fair, Oct 12, 2006, Last edited Oct 21, 2006 [murrayfair@rogers.com] . Total records = 136.

To reach this cemetery, travel Old Highway 24, a.k.a Main Street, Waterford, south from the town of Waterford, approximately 5 kilometres. You will come to the village of Bloomsburg. Watch for the Bloomsburg Baptist Church which is on the east side of Old Highway 24. The cemetery is located to the rear of the church.

It appears that this cemetery is still active, although there is no evidence of recent burials having taken place. The cemetery is very well maintained. It is on a hill directly behind the church. The cemetery is under the jurisdiction of Bloomsburg Baptist Church Cemetery Board.

I walked this cemetery in September, 2006, reading and recording the inscriptions of each tombstone or grave marker. A few of the grave stones and or markers are unreadable.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
