North Reay Cemetery
Gravenhurst, Muskoka Township, Muskoka District, Ontario

Contributed by Carol Fraser, Feb 25, 2006 [pfraser@csolve.net]. Total records = 46.

This cemetery is located on Hwy 11 but you can't access it from there. Take Hwy 11 to Doe Lake Rd. east to Gravenhurst Parkway left, going north to the Muskoka Airport. There is a little road across from the airport, turn left to the dead end. Cemetery is on your left.

North Reay is written on a little sign on the fence. The land was sold by the Crown to Muskoka Township in 1878, and is now administered by the Town of Gravenhurst.

This Cemetery was also known as Airport Cemetery, Simpson Cemetery, Reay Cemetery or Muskoka North Cemetery.

I completed this transcription in Oct of 2006.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
