Deagle Mason Cemetery
Onondaga Township, Brant County, Ontario, Canada

Contributed by Murray E. Fair, May 15, 2009, last edited Mar 28, 2011 [murrayfair@rogers.com]. Total records = 8.

To reach this cemetery, begin in Cainsville at the intersection of County Road # 18 and Old Onondaga Road East, travel east on Old Onondaga Road East approximately 4 kms, watch for Campbell Road, turn right there travel south a short distance, you will see the cemetery on your right up on a hill. There is a large house on the corner of Old Onondaga Road East and Campbell Road, then an open space. That is where the cemetery is.

This cemetery is inactive. It is under the jurisdiction of The Corporation of Brant County. The grass is kept cut. The existing stones have been moved to a central location at the top of the hill. They are all laying flat in the ground under a tall old spruce tree. I would suspect that there were many more stones originally but only a few are there now.

This is a complete listing of all of the tombstones in the cemetery. Three stones are unreadable.

I walked this cemetery on May 04, 2009, reading and recording the inscription from each tombstone that could be read in order to complete the transcription process.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
