Greenwood Cemetery
Brantford, Brantford Twp, Brant County, Ontario

This cemetery is bordered by Dundas Street on the north side, Clarence Street on the east side, West Street on the west side and the Canadian National Railway tracks on the south side. The main entrance to the cemetery is from West Street, opposite Buffalo Street, also, there is an entrance off of Clarence Street.
This is a complete listing of the tombstones and or grave markers in the cemetery. There is an unusually high number of tombstones and or grave markers that are unreadable. Also, there are a number of Armenian burials with the inscription in Armenian, except for the family name and some dates. The records are all identified by the term "Armenian inscription".
This cemetery is considered as inactive. The only burials taking place is a situation where there is a family member who passes away, cremation takes place, and the ashes are interred in the family plot.
The cemetery is under the jurisdiction of The City Of Brantford, Parks Operation and Development, Cemeteries, Main Office, 169 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, ON, N3R 2J3, Phone: (519) 753-0313. The cemetery is very well maintained. Unfortunately, vandals have, from time to time, caused damage to the tombstones and it is quite evident.
I walked this cemetery in the Summer and Fall of 2005, reading and recording the information from each tombstone and or marker that could be read. (Note: The change in the spelling of the Family name Height & Haight)
