Coming from Rossland, driving toward Trail, the cemetery is just before
you come into Trail on Hwy 3B on the south (left) side of the road. You
will see it in front of you as you start to curve right on the hill coming
down into Trail. It is before the Old Trail Cemetery.
Mountain View Cemetery was established in 1930. It is currently the
active cemetery for the town of Trail and surrounding community. It
is located just above and across the road from the Old Trail Cemetery
on Highway 3B.
This cemetery is situated on a sloping hillside in the majority of
the cemetery area. I do not like to submit a work that is not including
headstone readings, but for now this is it. I looked at that hillside
and decided until my legs are in tiptop shape, I will use this. If possible
I plan to read the stones and add more to the listings.
I did visit this cemetery in the summer of 2003 when I read the Old
Trail Cemetery. However these records are primarily from the Sexton
files provided me by Neil Paolone. I have listed the contact addresses
at the top of the page for the city if you need more information.
