Cemetery History

The main community burial ground for the town, Red Deer Cemetery is located on the brow of the East Hill. Originally a Methodist Church cemetery created in 1893, it was taken over by the Town of Red Deer in 1907. With Red Deer Cemetery being virtually full, most of the burials now take place in the Alto Reste Cemetery on the eastern outskirts of the City.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
