I should have provided a more definitive statement to Steve when I contacted him about these records. The actual records themselves are at each of the 3 cemeteries. The library has the family surname indexes for them, which list surname, given name, section # or letter, lot #, grave #, date of burial and in some instances the actual date of death and the age of the individual at the time of their death. I'm sorry that I wasn't more clear in my original email.

Hello. I just noticed something that I found interesting that I don't know if anyone else has noticed; among the pictures of Starbuck Cemetery in Chester, NY, there is one of some of the grave stones from a little distance back. There is a tree at about 1 o'clock in the distance and there appears to be a face in the tree trunk. Look closely at it- it's a little bizarre. :)

It's 2008 when will the cemetaries wake up and update their computer files so a person can find their relatives plot number. But when you die they want your whole lifes history and tons of paperwork before they bury you.

Saint Charles in Long Island should put up a decent website cause I couldn't find anyone on their internet site. Update your records or go back to manual filing, I mean really it's 2008, get with the program.
