Directions: From the intersection of Rtes 3/20 in Orange County,
go 1 mi east on Rte 3. Turn right onto Brock Road, and go 9.2 mi
to intersection with Lake Anna Parkway. Cross over Parkway and go
1/4 mi, turn left onto Courthouse Road (Rte 208 business), then
go 1/4 mi and turn right onto Confederate Cemetery Road.
This cemetery was established in 1866. It is an active cemetery
on several acres, part open field and part wooded, mown and in
good condition.
Burials are a mix of CSA Civil War military casualties and the
general population. History brochures are available on site. Over
700 Civil War Confederate soldiers, many unknown, were reburied
here from battlefields in and around Spotsylvania. CSA graves
are grouped by state and include AL, AR, GA, LA, MI, NC, SC, TN,
TX and VA. Open daily.

I walked the grounds and recorded all stones and plaques. This
is a nearly complete listing as of Oct 17, 2011. I also found
201 unmarked white stone markers marking the burial place for
that many unknown confederate soldiers.
