Driving directions from the junction of Mo 291 & Mo 78, drive east
.9 mile to Speck Road, turn left (north), go .4 mile to entrance
to George Owens Nature Park.
George B Owens donated land in Jackson County Missouri for a
Nature Park. When he died he was buried on the south side of the
Lodge. I spoke with Jeff Umbreit the Park Supervisor (816-325-7951)
and he verified that Mr. Owens was indeed buried in this park.
This includes all existing and legible readings from stones from
when I visited this cemetery on Aug 15, 2007.
