Hendershot Cemetery

This cemetery is located 7 miles east of Roseau on Hwy 11, turn
right (south) on County Road 9, drive approximately 14 ½ miles south,
turn left (east) on County Rd 4 drive east approx 2 1/2 miles, watch
for a rail blocking this crossing, turn right onto the crossing,
you will leave your vehicle here & will walk (south) for about ½
mile (you will be walking on a 4 Wheeler Trail) leading off this
trail will be another trail on your right. Walk about ¼ of a mile
or till you come to the burial site of the single grave, continue
a short ways further and you will be at the gated & fenced in area
of the other 2 graves.
This private family burial plot was est. 1912 has 3 graves which
are located on the high bank of the river below and are now a
part of the Hayes Lake State Park est. 1967. There is approx a
30 by 30 wire fence with a gate around 2 of the graves.
This family burial plot is not active at this time. Maintenance
is done by family or other interested persons.
A walk thru, reading of family burials was done by myself & Eunice
Lund on May 12, 2010. A digital camera was used for pictures.
