Total records = 27.
This small rural cemetery is about .2 miles south of McNary at mile post
361 south of the marsh off highway 260. To reach it turn right leaving
McNary across a cattle gate on the south side of the highway after the
marsh and bear left for about .1 mile to a fence area.
This cemetery contains 27 marked and about 12 unmarked graves. The
earliest identified grave is from 1926 and the latest is from 1971.
I found only a small number of graves showing signs of visitation
in the last several years. The cemetery contains two broken down outhouses
among the graves probably intended for use of the mourners in years
past.
I could find no evidence of an official name for the cemetery. The
USGS map shows the cemetery beside a church, which is no longer there.
For now it is called McNary Church Cemetery. If anyone knows the name,
please let me know.
I visited and transcribed this cemetery on Jun 27, 2004.
